The legendary NYC DJ will be touching down over here for three dates in August.

Few DJs inspire quite the level of deity status like Danny Tenaglia. The elusive selector has been one of the most coveted figures on the global circuit since his rapid rise to the elite in the late nineties, his often extended sets a tour de force through classic house, spine tingling techno and wild, percussive beats.
His compilations have stood the test of time, his pair of Global Underground mixes the most eclectic of the series at that time and an equally effervescent opus for Back to Basics for their tenth anniversary. He’s also had success as a remixer and producer (his superlative rework of Depeche Mode’s ‘I Feel Love’ ensnared him a Grammy) but it’s as a DJ where he will always be fondly remembered.
Old school in every sense of the word, Tenaglia’s breathless technical ability is matched by his emotional command in the way he works his crowds by building tension over and over again. He’s moulded in the classic sense of a DJ that eschews trends with a focus instead on drama. He really is someone any self-respecting rave aficionado must seek out and see.
Luckily you’ve got three bites at the cherry next month. The first date sees him hit Glasgow for his debut at the city’s superclub The Arches, with his three dates completed by a trip slightly further down south to Newcastle for Shindig on Sunday 25th august where he will join Maceo Plex and Adam Beyer for a warehouse set par excellence.
It’s the date that falls between them both that excites us the most however, with him taking centre stage at Egg London on Saturday 17th August. The city, alongside Athens, was one of the destinations selected to theme those Global Underground compilations and thus should provide a spectacular evening for all concerned, especially consdiering he's playing for a marathon THIRTEEN hours.
