Universal Drumz follow on from their immense Tech Fest with Ed Rush, Optical, Audio and SP:MC earlier this month with another night bulging with underground legends. This time turning their attention to the very finest in drum n bass, Ipswich's Malthouse Events Centre will be home to some true d 'n' b veterans come November 1st.

Taking the limelight will be Playaz main man DJ Hype, one of the longest serving and most influential members of the drum n bass community. Since bursting onto the scene back in the early nineties, DJ Hype has been touting an authentic, no nonsense take on drum n bass for over 20 years now (hear his historical show for BBC6 Music above).

He has been responsible for two of the most faultless imprints too, Ganja Records and True Playaz, later becoming Playaz, both responsible for feeding the UKs discerning junglists with prime high tempo beats and plenty of killer bass. His jump up, high octane sets too alongside his productions have time and again highlighted his pivotal role in the drum n bass movement.

Elsewhere fellow jump up protagonists Logan D and Evil B will unleash a full on HBS set (hear some of that above), flanked by Metalheadz mainstay and Sumo Beatz overlord Heist, with Nuklear MC providing some of his celebrated linguistic abilities. Head here to grab your Universal Drumz tickets.
