A monumental first Friday installation of the charts saw David Zowie steal the singles crown and Ed Sheeran translate his digital domination into the physical realm and dislodge Lionel Richie from the peak of the album charts.

Ed Sheeran's X is still marauding the ladder a year after its release and what better way to celebrate number one than with three sold out dates at Wembley?

London rap outfit Krept & Konan slide in a new entry at number two with The Long Way Home, while Lionel expectedly falls down to number three after benefiting from his Glastonbury slot. Elsewhere in the top 10, Lucy Rose enters at number nine with her sophomore effort Work It Out and Saint Raymond sits a place above with Young Blood.

The single charts belong to the dance floor with David Zowie's highly infectious 'House Every Weekend' jumping to top spot (listen to our exclusive mix from him above). Years & Years Radio 1 world première on Annie Mac's fixture helped propel 'Shine' to number two and Fifth Harmony feat Kidnap Kid secured third spot with 'Worth It'.
