A group of fans have set up a Facebook page with the purpose of making Californian rock group Eagles of Death Metal the UK Number one in light of the terrible tragedy that occurred during the band's performance in Paris venue Le Bataclan on Friday 13th November.

We have hit No.1 on the iTunes Rock chart already! No.35 on the iTunes MAIN chart, and No.12 in the Amazon MAIN chart....

The motivation centres on sending a message of defiance to the perpetrators (see more above), with no clarification on where any profits would go owing to the people behind the campaign not being the publishing holders. The song in question, 'Save a Prayer', was originally written by eighties rock icons Duran Duran.

Front man Simon Le Bon tweeted they will donate all proceeds from the single to charity that is "peaceful, useful and uniting".
