New music is always on the horizon. And a new release that has just dropped is Beatie Boy's very own Mike D. Co-produced by his sons, Skyler and Davis Diamond, along with Carter Lang. Mike D performed the solo single 'Switch Up' during his sold-out show at Los Angeles' Plaza Nightclub & Dance Hall.

Marking this as the first new music to come out of the remaining member from Bestie Boys since the release of their final album in 2011 'Hot Sauce Committee Part Two', which was then later followed by the death of Founding member Adam Yauch in 2012.

However, the release comes as no surprise for avid fans, who have been waiting for the release during the tease of new music since last month, when Mike D launched a new website called Mike5D. He has also been active on social media, sharing home video-style footage of himself in a studio.

In March, Mike D and fellow Beastie Boys member Adam 'Ad-Rock' Horovitz put out a reissue of their sixth studio album ‘To the 5 Boroughs’ as a deluxe triple-vinyl or double-CD set with 11 bonus tracks.
