On the run up to the hugely popular and successful Radio One's Big Weekend, BBC Radio One Academy hosts a long list of free events in this year's location city of Hull. Bringing Big Weekend performers to a more intimate setting of the Albemarle Music Centre, this is your opportunity to see some huge acts performing exclusively for absolutely free.
Joining hip hop fanatic and BBC Radio 1Xtra DJ Charlie Sloth, rapper and previous Big Weekend performer Professor Green will sit in front of an audience and delve into the ins and outs as well as the ups and downs of his extensive career.
Having already allowed people to see his views and experiences within his BBC Three documentaries, this event allows a deeper look into the mind of the 'Just Be Good To Green' creator. Including a special opportunity to ask him any burning questions yourself, this event simply cannot be missed by his fans, you can grab Professor Green tickets here.
With an eclectic catalogue of events branching through a wide range of genres and topics, there is something for everyone to enjoy with both shimmering indie starlet Will Joseph Cook and 2015 X Factor winner Louisa Johnson bringing massive live shows to the Academy, while other BBC events include performances and workshops from the likes of Creeper, Calum Scott,, Nicola Roberts and Testament.
As well as this, Greg James presents the secrets of chart success with his 'hook to hit' talk, and there's also a workshop on how comedy can help kick-start careers.
All events are free and are on a first come, first served basis, and you can find tickets and view all upcoming BBC Radio 1 Academy events at this link.
