The history of Time Warp festival
In 1994 we saw the launch of the first Time Warp Festival. Back then it was held at a location called “Walzmühle” in Ludwigshafen with a young DJ named Sven Väth. Very much a part of the original techno movement, and held in the home of techno, Time Warp enjoyed enormous success with everyone in attendance. Its popularity soon grew though, and in 2000 had to relocate from its birthplace, to Mannheim, where it remains until today.
