Wakefield ALT / ROCK / METAL Reunion 2026

The Wakefield Alt Rock & Metal Reunion 2026 is a special one-off night bringing people from Wakefield's alternative scene back together again.

This isn't a superclub event or a big commercial production. It's a DIY reunion put together by people who were part of the scene, celebrating the music, venues, DJs and people that made those nights mean so much.

Expect a soundtrack spanning decades of:

Alternative • Rock • Metal • Nu Metal • Punk • Grunge • Goth • Industrial • Emo

There'll be plenty of the songs that once filled Wakefield's alternative venues, alongside newer tracks that have kept the music and the scene alive.

A team of DJs with genuine links to Wakefield's alternative nightlife will be digging into the tracks that filled those dancefloors, soundtracked nights out and created a lot of memories along the way.

At the heart of it, this is simply about getting everyone back in the same room again.

Seeing old faces. Hearing those songs again. Remembering the places we used to spend our weekends - and having a proper alternative night in Wakefield once more.

The event is FREE ENTRY and completely not-for-profit, organised by fans of the scene for the people who were part of it.

Free tickets are required and capacity is limited, so please only claim one if you genuinely intend to come along. That way, somebody else doesn't miss out on a place.

Whether you were out every weekend, haven't seen some of these people for years, discovered the scene later, or simply miss having somewhere in Wakefield playing this kind of music - you're very welcome.

Organised by Jim Cameron and Ursula Kennett, with help and support from DJs and people connected to Wakefield's alternative scene.
