Following refurbishment re-opened on 9th October 2015 with a new name and under new management, and real ale has made a welcome return. Two bars both with sports TV. Live Irish music on Sundays. Thai food a speciality. John Watson Gibson who lived at Stanwell Place until his death in 1947 helped design the Mulberry harbours which contributed to the success of the D-Day landings. Pictures of the harbours, nearby Heathrow Airport and Stanwell through the ages adorn the walls
