About

A Celebration of Creativity: Spring Exhibition 2026 at Ironbridge Fine Arts

This spring, Ironbridge Fine Arts is delighted to present our Spring Exhibition 2026, running from 3rd March to 31st May, showcasing an exceptional collection of contemporary painting, printmaking, and mixed-media works. As someone who has long championed both local talent and international voices, I’m thrilled to bring together a group of artists whose work captures the imagination, challenges perception, and celebrates technical mastery.

Among the featured artists is Austė Skardžiukaitė-Kabašinskienė, a Lithuanian printmaker whose intaglio works reveal a meticulous observation of form, rhythm, and natural cycles. Austė’s prints invite viewers to pause and discover subtle patterns in nature and memory, demonstrating how deeply technical skill can merge with poetic vision. From the intricate layering of textures to the thoughtful interplay of light and shadow, her work provides a bridge between precision and reflection.

We are also proud to showcase the talents of local Shropshire artists, whose work is rooted in the landscapes and communities around us. Linda Barlow ARBS transforms her experiences of edge landscapes—from the west coast of Ireland to Shetland—into emotive, abstract compositions, while Jacqui Dodds captures the hidden intricacies of built and natural environments through silkscreen, lino cut, and blind embossing. Rob Pountney’s watercolours trace the contours of the Wessex landscape, blending observation with atmosphere, and both Dave and Jenny Gunning contribute exquisite intaglio and photogravure prints, demonstrating decades of commitment to craft and innovation. Rob Leckey RBSA brings a dynamic energy with layered acrylics, ink, collage, and found materials, creating works rich in texture and narrative depth.

This exhibition isn’t just about celebrating individual talent; it’s about the dialogue between different approaches, mediums, and perspectives. Each artist invites the viewer into a conversation with their work, whether through the intimate detail of an etching, the sweeping gesture of a watercolour, or the layered complexity of mixed media. Together, they create a narrative that reflects both local inspiration and international influence, technical mastery and imaginative freedom.

At Ironbridge Fine Arts, we have always believed that art should be accessible, inspiring, and thought-provoking. Our Spring Exhibition 2026 offers visitors a chance to engage with the creative process, witness exceptional skill, and immerse themselves in the richness of contemporary practice. Free entry and free parking make it easy for everyone to experience the exhibition, whether you are a long-time supporter of the gallery or visiting for the first time.

I invite everyone to come and explore these extraordinary works, to see the world through the eyes of our artists, and to share in the excitement of a spring season filled with creativity and inspiration. This is a celebration of craft, vision, and the enduring power of art to connect, provoke, and delight.
