Has Chard Got Talent? returns to Chard Guildhall on 17 October, offering a full day of live entertainment, community spirit, and exciting talent competition. The event runs from 12:00pm to 10:00pm, with daytime qualifying rounds followed by an evening grand final where the top performers compete for the title and a cash prize.

The competition is open to talented performers of all ages and backgrounds, with categories for both solo acts and groups. Whether contestants are singers, dancers, musicians, comedians, spoken word artists, or performers with unique skills, the event provides a fantastic platform to showcase talent in front of a live audience. There are no age restrictions for participants, making it a truly inclusive celebration of local creativity.

The daytime qualifying rounds take place from 12:00pm to 4:00pm, with free public admission, allowing visitors to enjoy a varied programme of performances and support their favourite acts. Following the qualifiers, successful contestants will progress to the Grand Final from 7:00pm to 10:00pm, where they will compete for the £100 winner's prize and the honour of being crowned Chard's top talent.

Throughout the day, audiences can enjoy an atmosphere filled with encouragement, excitement, and community pride. Tea and coffee will be available during the afternoon sessions, while the bar will be open during the evening final, creating a welcoming environment for spectators and performers alike. Entry to the evening final is £5 per person, and attendees under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.

Hosted at the historic Chard Guildhall, this special event is more than a talent competition. It is a community celebration supporting the Mayor's Charities, with funds and donations benefiting The HIVE Young People's Centre and Chard Men's Shed.
