Voodoo Lounge

The former Rosie O'Brien's Pumphouse, Bryan Street, Hanley, has reopened as the Voodoo Lounge after a £35, 000 makeover by Hanley couple Chris and Solaya Rowley. Voodoo Lounge is part of The Place, the biggest nightspot in Stoke-on-Trent for several generations. It is situated on Bryan St, Hanley - a little off the well worn beaten track.... Capacity is 1300, spread over three rooms on 2 levels, each room with a different vibe and atmosphere. There are 2 separate entrances, enabling different nights to run along side each other, and a freeway staircase linking all three if necessary. Smoking Terrace with fab views. The VIP Lounge, is contempory and well appointed, and is open either as VIP, a second room for an event, or for private parties. Our vision is to provide a City Centre venue as a home for local musicians and promoters, as well as a place for people and artists from further afield. The music policy is Eclectic. The interior spatial design of the venue is perfect for running different nights alongside each other introducing people to new things. We aim to work together with other venues in the area, providing an additional place for City Centre Nightlife, attracting more clientele to the city, benefitting all.
