The George Hitchin

The traditional exterior appearance shouldn't fool passing customers here at The George as it is run by the Spirit Group, a national operator of bars and public houses, and therefore is a rather modern upbeat operation (which includes regular drink promotions and live music acts). It does still have a very traditional decor though. There are two bar areas, as well as a courtyard for al fresco drinking, which are fitted with worn furnishings, creamy walls and wooden beams and panelling. There are also black and white photographs of the local area, and an old fashioned fireplace.
