🏰 As darkness creeps in on All Hallows' Eve, Report 005 of The Science Of Music: The Blood Rave transforms SAWAN into a Victorian Gothic castle, where music, theatre and immersive storytelling become one.

🕯️ Wander through The Hall, where House, Dance and Commercial music fill the castle, before descending into The Crypt, where Techno and Trance echo amongst coffins, hanging bodies, haunting scenery and live performers. Every corner has been crafted to draw you deeper into the night.

💀 Victorian Gothic attire is encouraged. Vampires (VIP) will receive complimentary custom-fit vampire fangs*, while Acolytes (General Admission/GA) will receive a blood pendant**, marking their allegiance to The Crimson Court. Corn Syrup • Water • Diazolidinyl Urea • Methylparaben • Propyparaben • Propylene Glycol

Mehron Stage Blood is commonly used by pros in Hollywood and on Broadway since 1927. This formula is non-toxic and can be used in and around the mouth safely. Crafted with a syrup-based formula and thick, honey-like consistency for an authentic look and feel.

Guests will be provided with their pendants during the event, which they should collect at 'The Metaphorsis' Station upon arrival and check-in.

How To Use
• Apply directly to the skin or over prosthetics.
• Smudge, streak or layer the blood to create a more realistic effect.
• Allow small undiluted amounts to drip naturally from the mouth, fangs or corners of the lips for a more coagulated look, and add water to create a more washed-out effect.
• Apply around the neck, collar or to your costume and accessories to create the appearance of freshly-fed vampire bites by layering different amounts of blood for a more dramatic effect.

The stage blood will not dry, allowing it to drip slowly and remain shiny. It is suitable for use on the skin and in and around the mouth. Patch-test on a small area of skin before use and avoid swallowing large quantities.

IMPORTANT
• Product washes off with soap and water, but may stain fabrics.
• Handle glass and small parts with care at all times.
• Avoid contact with the eyes.
• Do not apply to open wounds, inflamed or broken skin.
• Discontinue use if irritation or an allergic reaction occurs.

FITTING YOUR FANGS

[Guests choosing to wear the vampire fangs must only use the dental adhesive supplied with the product and follow the manufacturer's instructions.]

Make & Product Info
The Fangs are made from vegan, non-toxic and tasteless resin. The Adhesive Mould Beads are temporary, heat-activated solid certified dental fittings supplied with The Fangs. They come in 4 sizes: 13mm,15mm,17mm,19mm. Each pair comes in a sealed clear casing, with professional temporary dental adhesive beads.

Guests will be provided with pairs of fangs at random during the event, which they should collect at 'The Metaphorsis' Station upon arrival and check-in.

How To Apply
• Soften the Adhesive Mould Beads by soaking them in hot water, until they change from white to clear. Carefully remove the softened Adhesive using the tweezers, and press it into the hollow part of The Fang.
• While the Adhesive is still soft, position The Fang over your tooth. Gently press it into place and allow it to mould around your tooth for a secure fit. You can even use the tweezers to help shape and mould.
• Hold The Fang firmly in position for up to a minute, while the Adhesive cools and hardens. Once set, repeat the process for the second Fang, and leave everything in place.
• Gently press and reposition The Fang if required. Tilt your head backwards and breathe gently, keeping The Fang dry while it sets. Leave both Fangs to completely set for another minute.

Once The Fangs are in place and the Adhesive Moulds have completely set, they can be re-used as sleeves over your teeth - you can store them in their respective provided case. If The Fangs loosen over time or do not fit correctly, place them with the Adhesive back into hot water to soften them and repeat the fitting process.

IMPORTANT
• Take care when handling hot water.
• Allow to cool sufficiently. Do not apply the Adhesives if still hot.
• The Adhesive Mould Beads are reusable. They can be reheated and remoulded if necessary. Store below 40°C.
• Avoid eating or drinking liquids while The Fangs are in place to reduce the risk of accidentally swallowing them.

• Custom-fit vampire fangs and blood pendants are complimentary gifts and remain yours to keep, whether used during the event or taken home.

• Hot water will be provided for fitting the vampire fangs. Guests should exercise caution when handling hot water to avoid burns or injury.

Freedom Sessions emerged on 17th May 2020, founded by House of 9 (Dominique Paul), director of Freedom Creative Studio in Plymouth. While the world stood still, a new venture took shape, one designed to reconnect with the outside world through the language of rhythm. Each chapter carried its own theme, blending multiple genres into immersive DJ sets performed in striking, often symbolic locations. What began as a personal experiment has since evolved into a multidisciplinary platform, expanding into radio, podcasts, and live events that merge sound and visual storytelling into one cohesive experience.

SAWAN, founded by Deano G (Dean Gilbert), opened its doors in 2024 and quickly established itself as a key player in Plymouth's nightlife. Vibrant, creative, and strategically located, it has become a hub for renowned DJs, respected labels, and memorable weekend events. Beyond the dance floor, SAWAN hosts private hires and its signature Open Decks concept every Tuesday, giving emerging and established DJs alike a platform to share their sound.
