“Why aren’t you doing it, Mum?”

After completing a law degree and barrister training, that question from her son changed everything. She realised she was telling him to follow his dreams while ignoring her own.

Now a rising independent music artist, mum and grandma, Shelle creates raw, confessional pop rooted in real life. Her songs explore love, heartbreak, betrayal, growth and the strength that comes after it, drawing on relationships as they really are: messy, magnetic, sometimes manipulative and often transformative. Every lyric comes from somewhere real, creating songs that feel deeply personal but instantly recognisable to the people hearing them.

Live, Shelle strips those songs right back. Her intimate sets combine storytelling, voice and emotional pop, putting the lyrics, heartbreak and stories behind the songs at the centre and giving audiences the chance to hear them in their most honest form.

She has worked with acclaimed songwriter and producer Elliot Kennedy, known for his work with the Spice Girls and Take That, who fell in love with her songs. Shelle is currently receiving BBC Radio 2 airplay, alongside BBC Radio 6 Music support and BBC Introducing live sessions. Her previous release reached No. 13 on iTunes and entered the Global UK Radio 1 Chart Top 80.

She has supported T’Pau on tour, performed as part of an HMV live tour, and continues to build her reputation as a rising live artist. Online, her music is reaching new audiences through viral social media moments, with listeners sharing the songs and recognising their own heartbreak, relationships and experiences in hers.
