About

Vigilantes craft a thoughtful, melodic style of indie rock that's as anthemic as it is atmospheric with thoughtful lyricism and explosive choruses.

Vigilantes have caught eyes after performing at Radio 1's Big Weekend, Isle of Wight Festival, SXSW and supporting acts like The Bluetones, The Lottery Winners & Good Health, Good Wealth.

Vigilantes have been placed on Radio 1's Best Of BBC Introducing playlist and had repeat airtime on BBC Radio 1, Radio 6 & Radio X. Noted by Fresh on the Net's Tom Robinson as 'On a mission',

Vigilantes were part of National Lottery/MVT's Revive Live Tour in 2022 and released their debut album 'Golden Record' in 2025.

Iona Sky

Their sound brings together Anna-Sophia's pop and country storytelling with the indie-rock influences of James and Simon, creating a melodic, guitar-driven style built around powerful choruses, atmospheric textures and emotive vocals.

In March 2024, the band released their debut EP,Homeschooled. Singles including "Never Be the Same Again" and "Locked the Door" received international radio support, including BBC Radio 1, and were featured on Spotify editorial playlists.

That year IONA SKY toured across the UK, Ireland and the United States, performing in London, Birmingham, Dublin, Philadelphia and New York, including shows at venues such as The Bitter End and Rockwood Music Hall. They also appeared at several UK festivals.

In 2026, IONA SKY released their second EP,Departure, Yes, produced by Michael Smith. Tracks from the EP received further BBC Radio 1 support and were selected as BBC Introducing Track of the Week.

‘Wounded Newt’ are a six piece up and coming band from South Lincolnshire and were recently invited to play at the main stage in City Square Lincoln hosted by BBC Introducing. The band formed in 2025 and since then have released three singles on all good streaming platforms.
Lead singer and songwriter Freddie Fisk is just 17 years old and attends Bourne Grammar Sixth Form. We have a line-up of drums, bass, keys, sax, trumpet and would describe our sound as an “experimental alt-indie with a brassy kick.” The songs on the new EP Black Road are “catchy, with heartfelt lyrics that capture the anguish of the human soul amongst hope-filled uplifting melodies that leave you humming for more.”
Our influences include Broken Social Scene, Nick Drake, Belle & Sebastian and Radiohead.
It is certainly a fresh sound and style and the story of a young and talented songwriter from Langtoft near Bourne. At just 17 years old (18 on Halloween) Freddie Fisk has a bright future ahead of him.
'Wounded Newt' have had frequent airplay on BBC Introducing East Midlands in the lead up to their debut EP release 'Black Road' - out Fri 6th Nov
Dean Jackson (BBC Introducing):
"Wounded Newt were sensational on the stage at Lincoln Live, I really loved what they did there, such a great sound and a varied set...the varied range of instruments work so well. As the dark nights draw in I know I'll be thinking back to summery afternoons watching Wounded Newt."
