Biography

"There's good and there's very good. They are very good" - Phil Taggart, BBC Radio 1

Moody pop for the introverted heart. Vigilantes' are a soundtrack for the human condition, approved of by several indie giants. It's music for the introverted extroverts, the night drivers, the cynical sarcastics and the romantic dreamers. They craft songs for the moment, and songs that grow and change with you. After being selected to play Radio 1's Big Weekend, Vigilantes were championed by Mike Skinner of The Streets fame and in 2022, headed out on a National Lottery Revive Live tour.

Vigilantes are continuing the British tradition of taking American sounds and stuffing it with classic British tone. They do it so well that they have been placed on Radio 1's Best Of BBC Introducing playlist and had repeat airtime on BBC Radio 1, Radio 6 & Radio X to boot. Noted by Fresh on the Net’s Tom Robinson as ‘On a mission’, Vigilantes are known as one of the hardest working live bands in the UK circuit.

"In this country we have this obsession with the Libertines and loads of music is derivative of that. This is not that, it's different, very slick." - Mike Skinner, The Streets

"They're not the first Vigilantes, but they're the f**king best ones" - Carl Barat, The Libertines

"American influences with British hearts" - Huw Stephens, BBC Radio 1

"There's good and there's very good. This is very good" - Phil Taggart, BBC Radio 1

"The power and tightness of the playing. Vigilantes will blow your socks off live" - Tom Robinson, BBC Radio 6, Fresh On The Net

"Powerful Indie rock!" - Elise Cobain, Amazing Radio

"These are very exciting!" - Janice Long, BBC Radio Wales
