Review of Groovebox Binks Terrace Opening Party with Sam Divine
Hey Binks,
You need to reassess your events this year as this wasn't a great opening party!
The sound was shocking, the Djs were good and doing their best but outside and inside music was muddled and nowhere near as loud as last year.
The VIP area was pants, likened to the Willy Wonka experience, shoddy and couldn't hear the music, definitely not worth the extra cash, wood chip played havoc with heels and sandals, drinks no different to the other bars and no covered or heated area.
Overall a Weird crowd, lots of wasted rougher people compared to previous events, very crowded, couldn't get near front of stage where music was louder.
Left early and didn't make it to after party!

VIP area was out the way! Nobody even directed us, we asked about 10 different people, however when we did find it, we were not impressed. You couldnât hear the music from the VIP area!

The sound was not good. Could barely hear main stage unless actually right up front and inside music was polluting main stage music when stood further back - impossible to get here due to the amount of people vaping and really drunk - was not a nice crowd. This opinion was shared by a lot of people who have been to similar events here.
This was really off putting as someone who loves this kind of music scene and regularly goes to these events. Many of us left early for this reason

Review of Paddys Day Carnival: Binks Yard Nottingham
Fantastic event at a great venue, we had a great time. The massive issue was there wasn't enough bar staff causing 30 plus minutes stood in a queue just to get to a drink.
Otherwise all good. More bar staff next time please!

Review of Paddys Day Carnival: Binks Yard Nottingham
A huge disappointment.
All of the bars were understaffed and all the spaces were over saturated with no where to stand.
We didn't see any music or entertainment, as we spent the whole time in a queue.
When we bought tickets for this event, we didn't intend on spending the afternoon and evening standing crammed in around a bar trying to buy drinks. It felt poorly organised and massively oversold. The event fell well below our expectations, the hype and advertising certainly didn't add up to what was on offer that day. Everywhere you turned there were queues for either food or toilets or drinks, which told us everything we needed to know.
After a disappointing hour of queueing at the bar with no one able to get a drink, we decided to leave the event to find somewhere else that could offer a more enjoyable way to spend our time.
A massive disappointment, definitely won't waste my money on tickets for any Live Republic//Binks Yard events in the future.
