Day Time Disco returns to the Joshua Brooks basement on Saturday 19th December with Dave Lee.

If you have danced to a disco record in the last thirty years, there is a decent chance Dave Lee had a hand in it. Under the name Joey Negro, which he recorded as until 2020, he spent three decades turning rare groove, boogie and disco into dancefloor records, and his Z Records label has been the home of that sound since 1991. What he does in a room is simpler than the CV makes it sound. He plays records that move people, builds them patiently, and does not let go. Horns, strings, handclaps, basslines you feel in your chest, a room that is a slave to the rhythm from the first hour to the last.

This is his fourth Day Time Disco at Joshua Brooks. The last three have been some of the best rooms we have had.

Doors 4pm. Finished by 9pm. Home in good time, or straight out for the rest of the night. That is the whole point of a day time disco.
