About

Badger takes over the basement at Joshua Brooks for a night built on the bass-heavy, rule-bending take on UK garage that has made him one of the most in-demand names in the genre. Real name Alex Goodger-Marsh, the Brighton producer has spent the last few years turning playful edits and weighty two-step into one of the quickest rises British dance music has seen.

That rise ran straight through the internet. His UK garage flip of the Vengaboys' "We Like To Party!" caught fire, and his edit of Natasha Bedingfield's "These Words" went further still, reaching the UK Top 40 and earning a silver record after passing 100 million streams. AC Slater was the first to sign him, putting his early material out on Night Bass and coining the tag that still fits best: indie-garage, a sound that pulls two-step, bassline, jungle and bass house through a pop instinct without ever losing the weight.

There is substance under the viral moments. His debut EP "Let's 'Av It Right!" landed in 2025, a run of club tools built from UK garage, nineties house and bass music, while his latest single "Hear My Call" keeps things rolling. Collaborations have run from AC Slater to Icona Pop, and on stage he held down Glastonbury's Shangri-La in 2025 with surprise pop-up appearances across the weekend, alongside Parklife and a debut North American tour off the back of garage's surge in the States. Expect a working DJ at full tilt, dropping unreleased dubs next to the records you already know.

It is a sound made for this room. The Joshua Brooks basement is low, close and built from brick, with a Void Acoustics rig that hits hardest exactly where Badger's music lives, in the sub and the swing of a two-step groove. Under the bricked arches the bassline weight and jungle rollers land the way they should, and the system has room to be pushed.

With support from Mattik.

See you down the front.
