Dahlia Stereo sessions: Jimmy Turnbull & Julie Wills

Julie Wills & Jimmy Turnbull are part of Manchester-based collective Out Since Friday, a radio show and record label that’s been championing forward thinking dance music for over a decade. From radio shows to parties and festival appearances, Out Since Friday continues to keep things eclectic, inclusive and ego-free.

Between them they’ve stacked up many years of club and festival experience (on both side of the decks). Julie racking up sets at Social Service, Suffragette City, Red laser, Back to Basics, Love International and Jimmy, The Warehouse Project, Parklife, WOM Cafe Ibiza. But together is where they shine the brightest from intimate bars like renea to festival stages like We Out Here and Homobloc. They capture the energy of the Manchester scene, and never get boxed in by genre. Expect everything from afro, boogie and garage through to twisted disco, house, Italo and breakbeat… and anything else that feels right in the moment.
