Review of Trevor Nelson Soul Nation LONDON SUMMER PARTY July 23
The evening was an enjoyable one to a point. The music in the soul room was good. The RnB dj’s were brilliant and knew their crowd, but unfortunately the crowd was excessive which made a brilliant experience taxing at times with very little air flow, constant barging as people tried to get from one place to another, which could easily take at least 10 mins, causing drinks to be spilled. The garage room music was ok the best part of that room was the opportunity of air flow even when busy. Drinks were a reasonable price for the area but it was blatantly obvious that there was not enough bar staff to cope with the amount of people, making the working environment for the staff very stressful through no fault of their own. The security from what I could see were polite, helpful and professional in manor. The toilets let the venue down however. I go to many clubs and review frequently. I must say that on the whole this was a good experience but I would say that it maybe an idea to have the event over 2 nights instead of cramming in a many people as possible on 1 night that way I believe event goers will have a much more positive experience.

A sponge of nocturnal happenings, it soaks up every first glance, fresh taste, every aural inauguration. It wears these happenings like textures, all mixed together and thus telling their own unique Omeara story because our stories are never truly just ours, they exist in this existence in the context of others. When one narrative ends another picks up, and, more often than that, a storyline is growing within a story who’s destination is somewhere else entirely. Omeara is overflowing with stories already and you being here will only add to the technicolor.
It was an idea that began in 2012, which grew into a dream and became a reality in 2016. Omeara will play host to all walks of life, all types of ridiculousness, all hours of the night. In fact, the night is when Omeara really comes to life, and there will be certain times of year when you’ll be able to catch the rising sun as you take flight and make your way into the great city of London, energised and hopeful
