At £37 per tick*t, the experience fell far short of expectations. The venue was a remote, unheated warehouse that lacked basic comfort. The logistics were equally frustrating: the cloakroom was overpriced at £5 per item and suffered from excessive queues.
​The "decorations" were minimal  (two bear balloons in the entire space). While the bar staff claimed they had no ice-presumably to speed up service-I managed to find some myself shortly after. While the crowd atmosphere eventually picked up, the first few hours were significantly soured by the poor organization.

This was a total rip-off, badly organised event. Utter chaos.
CLAIM A REFUND from your credit card company or bank. They WILL refund you. That's the only way the organisers will understand that you can't sell tick*ts for an event and expect to keep the money when you don't deliver.

Pros-
The Music - The DJ's really Helped this event be som**hing other than a complete Shambles, some great Tunes from across the XXL Eras.

The Staff - The staff were friendly even being vastly Understaffed for the night and the sheer number of people they had to deal with.

Cons-

I could not get an access tick*t or find out any info about access past Skiddle giving me emails. 
even after emailing XXL, The Club and the Promoter weeks before the event I got no reply. and had to pay double the original tick*t price for a second tick*t for my PA.

The Cue to enter was also the Cue for the cloak rooms. 
We arrived a 22:40 and only to get funnelled like a scene from a abattoir in one of the worse meat factory's into it, We was stuck there for over an hour and I ended up having a panic attack due to the press of people jostling to get to put their stuff in the cloakroom before midnight, 
£10 to put a bag is robbery!

We only got out of the cue 10 minutes before Midnight thanks to a member of staff who saw I was in serious destress, (I can't thank her enough for helping me and my PA out as I was about to go into full fight or flight mode)
I couldn't even leave the cue myself because we was so packed in! all I could do was have a panic attack with my arms stuck wrapped around my bag and slowly fighting it till I got helped out of it,  If I didn't have a Staff member see I was in destress and was stuck in the cue and a PA who knew me and how to help deal with my panic attacks I would have been in a very dangerous place. 
I'm surprised people didn't get crushed!  

The Cloak room was closed not long after, So people that had waited over an hour in a packed long cue were told to try later because the Cloak room because it was full and had to close! 
This left people's  bags and coats being carried about or being put by the pillars and the sides of the dance floors, Massive tripping hazard's all night, no safety how there wasn't a serious accident I don't know!

The Bar was hugely understocked with Mixers, Bear's and their admirers love a good drink!, 
We went to get a drink at 23:50 (when we managed to leave the Cloak room cue) so we could try to see the NYE with at least a single drink, but we didn't get served till past midnight, We was then told when being served for a drink that there was only ginger beer left as a mixer, 
Ended up on cider all night (not my favourite drink) because that was the only other thing I could drink that was in a can. 

Overall-

The staff were friendly and they were trying the best they could even being vastly under prepared for the night and the crowd, so hat off the them for having deal with the fall out from all the stuff that went wrong.

The Bar Needed a lot more stocking up on mixers and more staff.

The cue was the Bad point of the night for me, an hour and a half to get into a venue and get your coats or bag in (if you got there in time) is not good by any standard!

Only reason I've not given this event a 0/5 is because the staff of the venue and the Music only just pulled XXL'S rep out of the Fire for me, but only just! 

I doubt I will go there again for an XXL night, I also doubt after talking to many people who went and stayed for NYE will go to that Venue again, it ruined a lot of people nights, 
Unless there is a Huge change in entry and Cloak room cues.

The venue states on the website that there's accessible seating available for disabled customers if booked prior to the event. I booked only to arrive to find the seats were next to where people stand to watch the gig. So I had a view of people's backsides. I spoke to the manager who said they don't offer accessible seats and didn't know that the website said that they did. I ended up giving up and going back to the car whilst my partner stood for the whole gig. If I had been given the information correctly I wouldn't have bought a tick*t and bothered to go. I travelled from Manchester to Leeds for the gig. Upset and disappointed by the venues lack of care or understanding for disabled customers needs. There was no mention from the manager to get a refund. Don't go if you need to sit for the evening.

Review of Laugh Till It Hurts

A tarot card reading is offered by a slightly menacing fortune teller on the way in to the performance space (the tiny basement of Leicester Square Theatre), the set looks good, a derelict church, populated for the moment by a softly moaning medieval troubadour with a lute and a somewhat malevolent looking seamstress - what can it all mean?

Having sat through this astonishingly clunky production of a baffling, pointless play by apparently acclaimed South African Reza de Wet, I am none the wiser.
A starving bunch of actors arrive in the hometown of one of their number where a figure from his past threatens to undo him and his blossoming family life - is the widow in black truly evil? Will she tempt the thespians into downfall and damnation with a picnic basket?
Who knows and who cares?
 
I desperately tried to find a plot, an interesting character or at the very least a funny line to dull the pain of the excruciating acting I was witnessing. 
Admittedly the characters were paper thin, the lines both ludicrous and forgettable, yet even with these meagre materials a good actor can extract some entertainment - even if resorting to parody. 
Not here.
Lines fluffed, cues missed, - 'dead air' while people figured out where they were supposed to be standing.. It was like witnessing an early rehearsal - truly astonishing for a West End play featuring an Oscar nominated actress. Susannah York's resonant voice and expressive eyes were in the wrong place at the wrong time and it was a disheartening sight.
At least she was enthusiastic and could move - the wooden performance of one of the younger actors was nothing if not consistent -arms pinned to sides with pained expression for two hours - perhaps he was mimicking the audience.. 
A shockingly amateur production of a play without depth, plot, meaning, humour or in fact merit of any kind. Go and be truly amazed.
