About Nutcracker

Nutcracker at the London Coliseum is English National Ballet’s festive production of Tchaikovsky’s classic ballet. Set on Christmas Eve in Edwardian London, it follows Clara after a visit to Drosselmeyer’s Sweets & Delights Emporium, where an enchanted Nutcracker doll begins her journey into a glittering Christmas party, a battle with the Rat King, an ice realm and the Land of Sweets & Delights.

The production features over 100 dancers and musicians, with choreography by Artistic Director Aaron S. Watkin and Olivier Award-winner Arielle Smith. English National Ballet Philharmonic perform Tchaikovsky’s score live, and the production includes sets and costumes designed by Dick Bird.

Reviews have described the production as “Vibrant” (Financial Times) and “astoundingly pretty” (The London Standard), and it returns to the London Coliseum for another festive run.
