About Nutcracker

Nutcracker at the London Coliseum is English National Ballet’s festive production of Tchaikovsky’s ballet, set on Christmas Eve in Edwardian London. It follows Clara’s journey from Drosselmeyer’s Sweets & Delights Emporium to a glittering Christmas party, a battle with the Rat King, an ice realm and the Land of Sweets & Delights, where the Sugar Plum Fairy hosts a celebration in her honour.

The production features over 100 dancers and musicians, with choreography by Artistic Director Aaron S. Watkin and Olivier Award-winner Arielle Smith. Dick Bird designed the sets and costumes, and English National Ballet Philharmonic perform Tchaikovsky’s score live.

It has been described as “vibrant” by the Financial Times and “astoundingly pretty” by The London Standard.

Duration: 2 hours, including one interval.
