The atmospheric underground setting of The Slaughter House is the perfect setting for comedy. A real comedian’s comedy club, The Slaughter House’s narrow walls have played host to some of the circuit’s biggest names since opening its doors in 2004. Mark Thomas, Dara O’Briain, Alan Carr, Tommy Tiernan, Justin Moorehouse and Jason Manford have all graced the tiny stage. Comedians cite the low ceilings and the stage’s non-existent proximity to the crowd as reasons why the venue’s stock continues to rise. Located in the basement of the Slaughter House Pub on Fenwick Street, this venue also boasts an extensive range of ales, a doubles bar and one of the finest pints of Guinness in the country.
