Weekend Plastering Courses – Liverpool School of Plastering
Build practical plaster skimming skills in a friendly, hands-on weekend course. Complete beginners and improvers are welcome.
Across two practical days, you’ll work on real walls and plasterboard and practise applying a full two-coat skim. Learn to mix plaster, use a trowel and hawk, prepare surfaces with PVA, SBR and bonding agents, manage timing between coats, and flatten and polish your finish. Your tutor will help you avoid common beginner mistakes and answer questions as you work.
All tools and materials are provided. Training is in a small group of up to four students, with individual guidance and feedback. The course runs 9:00 am–3:00 pm each day. Wear old clothes: plastering gets messy. This course gives you practical foundations and confidence to keep improving; becoming fully proficient takes further practice.
