Get ready for a spectacular weekend of raw strength, huge lifts and all-out competition, as some of the strongest athletes from across the country come together to battle for the prestigious title of Liverpool’s Strongest.

Never watched strongman before? Don’t worry — you don’t need to know anything about the sport to enjoy this. Think big weights, big personalities and incredible feats of strength, with every event pushing the athletes to their absolute limits.

Across the weekend, you’ll see competitors take on:

🏋️ Deadlift for reps – How many times can they lift an enormous weight from the floor?

💪 Log Press – Athletes battle against the clock to press a huge wooden log overhead as many times as possible.

👜 Sandbag to Shoulder – Heavy sandbags have to be picked up and thrown onto the athlete’s shoulder, as many times as they can manage.

🚶 Farmer’s Carry – Carrying incredibly heavy weights in each hand, athletes race against the clock over 10 metres.

🪨 Atlas Stones – The iconic strongman event. Competitors lift huge concrete stones and load them onto platforms as quickly as possible.

Every rep counts. Every second matters. And as fatigue sets in, the atmosphere gets bigger and the competition gets tougher.
