The Venue

The Venue,Leeds College of Music’s state-of-the-art performance space, opened in 2003. It is situated in a multi-million pound development, above the new regional headquarters for the BBC. The College is situated on Quarry Hill, Leeds’ arts and cultural quarter. Neighbours include the West Yorkshire Playhouse, Yorkshire Dance and The Wardrobe. Performers at The Venue have included Michael Nyman, Jamie Cullum, Courtney Pine, Dennis Rollins, Tim Garland, Polar Bear, Claire Martin, Stacey Kent, Tango Siempre, Soweto Kinch, Tord Gustavsen Trio, Joanna McGregor, Amy Winehouse, London Sinfonietta and Claire Teal.
