The HiFi Club originally opened in 2001 after the closure of the much-loved Leeds City Centre venue, The Underground, Promoters (and young men about town!) Ed Mason, John Morelli & Steven Allison snapped up the basement venue and quickly moved across all the staff and a host of hugely popular club nights (many of which exist right on through to the present day)!
The HiFi Club is now home a range of DJ led and live music nights based around a variety of musical genres including Soul, Funk, Hip Hop, Motown, Reggae and Disco. If your not into clubbing, well never fear! There's also comedy every Saturday night and special events that take place at The HiFi Club throughout the year!
Past Acts To Grace Our Stage Include:
Nightmares on Wax, Peanut Butter Wolf, Onra, SBTRKT, Horse Meat Disco, Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs, Andrew Ashong, Seven Davis Jr, Mo Kolours, Ugly Duckling, Binkbeats, Quantic, Jehst, Romare, Lapalux, Little Dragon, Submotion Orchestra, Auntie Flo, Clap! Clap! & Gilles Peterson to name but a few!
We are also famed for our live comedy shows here at HiFi. Everyone from Alan Carr to Reginald D Hunter has performed on our glorious stage! Recent acts to appear at The Saturday Comedy Sessions include Chris Ramsey and Katherine Ryan!
