Through the medium of spoken word and an original noise-rock score, Villainessica the Show tells the fictionalised, Faustian origins of the character and performer Villainessica. It is a pseudo-rock opera on a miniature scale, incorporating elements of spoken word storytelling and theatrical sets into a punk show.
The performance is an experimental development of the typical gig format. The project is a small-scale audio-visual collaboration delving into the world of mixed media and performance to create surrealist soundscapes and expressionistic rock and roll environments.
The show is a gig with theatrical elements, not a theatre show with musical elements and it will feature opening performances.
