What better way to spend your Sunday afternoon than being surrounded by wonderful ladies, enjoying a tipple and chatting about all things books? If that sounds like your kinda thing then Novel Friends Bookclub is for you! Tabacs Southside offers the perfect cosy space for our bookclub with candlit tables and beautiful flower arrangements from a local florist.

Life is tough, the News channels are rough, and making friends as an adult can be difficult. Here at Novel Friends, we are all about connecting people, unwinding and enjoying the simpler things in life.

🥂📚 What to Expect 📚🥂

• A drink on arrival - the best way to ease into a cosy Sunday. Whether you're a beer, wine or fizz girlie or a cuppa, soft drink or water girlie we'll get you sorted!
• Lots of conversation - book related or not! We are a chaaaatty bunch and love to have a good gab and laugh about all things in life.

• Fun Activities - as a bookclub, naturally we will be having a chin wag about our chosen book but we like to keep our hands busy too. So, while we chat and share what we loved (or hated) we'll be activitying away.

• We LOVE a quiz at Novel Friends, so following on from our discussions we will be hosting a fun wee quiz (with prizes up for grabs!).

• Towards the end of the afternoon, we will explore our 4x potential picks for the next month and vote. We know everyone has different tastes so we'll be dabbling in a range of genres across the months so we all get to try something new!

• A Raffle! When you purchase your ticket you will be automatically entered into our Novel Friends raffle which will be drawn at bookclub and a prize given!

• Novel Friends is a welcoming and respectful community built on the values of friendship. We are all wonderfully imperfect in our own ways and our bookclub is place to just be yourself and to bond with others over a shared love of books - whether you are a seasoned reader, a trying-to-fall-back-in-love-with-reading reader, or I've-no-idea-when-I-last-read-a-book reader, everyone is welcome here!
