Come to Leith Depot for an evening of live music with The Sandporters and friends.
The Sandporters
The Sandporters are an alt-folk trio from Edinburgh. Founded in 2025 following a run as guitarist/violinist Ezra Briggs’ backing band at the Edinburgh Free Fringe, the band named themselves after the venue they had performed in and began adding songs by bassist/guitarist David Winlo and harpist/keyboardist Ruth Hamblin, making for a set of stories as diverse as their sonic palette. The Sandporters have since been playing live around Edinburgh with occasional forays into England, gaining a loyal and growing following.
Birches
Hailing from Manchester, Casey Birks blends a song-writing style formed in the heart of the cities music scene, with the folk drenched seas of Edinburgh's pubs and bars to create Birches. From rhythm heavy rock, to jazz and folk, the musical influences of this outfit all blend into an eclectic style of music. Broody ballads, Uplifting refrains, and Mournful anthems all find their place among the Birches.
Ella May Mckay
Ella May McKay is an emerging Scottish alt-country artist, for fans of Gillian Welch, Jason Molina, and This Is The Kit
