Fierce Beer vs Rare Find Whisky IV

Back by popular demand, we’re raising a glass once again for another unforgettable whisky and beer pairing night with Charlie Wilson of Rare Find Independent Bottlers!

The Fierce crew have handpicked a beer to complement each of five exceptional drams, featuring four seriously characterful single-cask whiskies from Rare Find, plus a special mystery malt to keep you guessing.

We’ll kick things off with an 8-Year-Old Clynelish, fully matured in a refill sherry hogshead, bringing gentle dried fruit and subtle oak alongside Clynelish’s distinctive, texturally complex Highland character.

Next up is a 12-Year-Old Ben Nevis, finished in 1st fill Oloroso sherry. Expect rich sweetness, dried fruit and warming spice wrapped around the distillery’s bold, full-bodied spirit.

Then comes a 16-Year-Old Mortlach, finished in a 1st fill European oak Oloroso sherry hogshead. Mortlach’s famously “meaty” character meets rich sherry influence in what promises to be a seriously tasty marriage.

For our fourth dram, we head west to Islay with a 14-Year-Old Laphroaig. Finished in a 1st fill Oloroso sherry hogshead from Bodegas Barbadillo, this combines powerful peat smoke and coastal character with layers of rich sherry influence.
