The Movement

THE MOVEMENT, Edinburgh's Grassroots Music Showcase

Three local bands. One night. All for the love of local music.

The Movement is back for the final showcase of the year! Built around championing homegrown talent and giving independent artists the platform they deserve, we're bringing three brilliant Edinburgh acts together for one unforgettable night.

Jack Brodie & The Lost Boys of Niddry Street

Big stage energy, anthemic hooks and huge singalong choruses. Think The Snuts meets Arctic Monkeys, with a touch of Two Door Cinema Club. Our co founders and original headliners are back!

The Lost Conformists

Alternative rock with a dark, unpredictable edge, blending post punk and new wave influences inspired by Pixies, The Cure and Radiohead. Completely independent and doing things their own way.

Moxies

Raw, high energy garage punk, 90s grunge and punk rock. Packed with distortion, melody and attitude, Moxies are bringing the noise and proving Edinburgh's alternative scene is alive and kicking.

A NEW CHAPTER FOR THE MOVEMENT!

Our first three events took place at Banshee Labyrinth, and as The Movement continues to grow, we were excited to explore a change of venue for our final showcase of the year. Unfortunately, things didn't go to plan, and an unexpected venue change left the event in doubt.

That's where Banshees stepped in to help make the night happen. Their support has given us a new home for the final Movement of the year and ensured these three fantastic local acts still get their moment on stage. We're hugely grateful to everyone helping us keep this event alive and continue building something positive for Edinburgh's grassroots music scene.

Now it's our turn to show up for the bands and the venue.
