The Monty

The former Montpelier Inn presents its newest incarnation, a labour of love undertaken by the Mr and Mrs team of former punk rocker and acid house alumnus Mick and former psychobilly seamstress Cait Habeshaw-Robinson, former proprietors of the infamous Hotel Pelirocco. Located in the heart of Brighton’s beautiful westernmost byways, Mick & Cait’s rock & roll vision for this beloved hostelry is shaped as much by their subterranean fixations as their desire to provide this marvellous parish with a unique and supremely welcoming boozer for long term locals and new friends alike. A pub for ‘people like us’, with or without a punk/ Balearic/ rockabilly/ whatever-freak kind of past or present, The Monty is the Brighton and Hove hinterlands’ essential hub for quality refreshments, musical excellence, interesting company and supreme relaxation away from the busy main drag, with a perennially swollen weekend calendar featuring barbecues, film showings, live football and some of Brighton’s finest cross-generic bands and D.J.s.
