Too much drinking and smoking, not enough attention paid to music.  That's probably the crowds fault, but not my vibe

2 bars were not provided as promised and a musician didn't show and no announcement of it, hence the music agenda was all over the place. Too many people. Would not return.

Feedback on Glorious Day and Concerns for Daresbury 2025

After attending Daresbury last year and having an incredible time, I decided to go all out and attend both Glorious Day and Daresbury in 2025, both organized by Classics Events & Co.

Event Experience at Glorious Day
While the overall atmosphere was enjoyable-largely due to a more mature crowd-there were significant issues that impacted the experience. The most pressing concern was the overcrowding. Far too many people were packed into a narrow area, which made dancing difficult and moving around exhausting. Hove Gardens, being a slim stretch of land along the seafront, simply isn't ideal for accommodating such large numbers comfortably.

Additionally, I found myself increasingly frustrated by people spilling drinks, stepping on feet, and the general lack of space. These incidents detracted from what should have been a relaxed, joyful event.

Sound Quality Issues
Another notable problem was the sound quality. Due to the venue's proximity to the sea, the audio often dispersed and was difficult to hear unless you were right at the front or very close to the stage. For anyone further back, the sound frequently became muddled or lost entirely in the open air. 

Suggestions and Concerns for Future Events
I strongly believe that limiting the number of attendees would dramatically improve the overall experience, especially for those who come specifically to dance and enjoy the music. My concern is that the organizers may try to replicate the same packed conditions at Daresbury in 2025, prioritizing ticket sales over attendee comfort. I hope Classics Events will consider feedback like this to preserve the quality and spirit of their events.

Brilliant day! Great atmosphere and people and obviously fantastic music! Norman Jay wasn't able to attend which we weren't told about but his nephew (I believe) filled in and was fantastic!! Plus no cash at bars could have been advised but apart from that the whole day was well organised and in a beautiful location.
Will return next year!

Almost everything was brilliant. Music got better and better. The crowd was really friendly although there was a bottle neck coming from the chill out area to the main arena when it got a bit hectic. Even the loos weren't too bad and regularly stocked up with loo roll. Staff were friendly. However the beer and cider were in cans that weren't chilled and overpriced. There weren't any water fountains and the bar were charging £3 for water. Overall though a great day- evening event.
