This was advertised as a DJ Set with Martin Kemp - we did not realise he was only on for 1.5 hours of the 6 hours we were there.  Martin Kemp was FAB he really livened up the atmosphere.  Also the onsite food was RUBBISH - chicken strips were hard and dry - and Hot Dogs - no thanks

Review of Martin Kemp's Back to the 80s DJ Set | Blackpool Winter Gardens

First DJ great, second DJ no but Martin Kemp was fantastic , would recommend brilliant.

Super, super night out . Great music , fireworks and lighting .  5 min walk in our 80s fancy dress from train station. The first DJ was fab and Martin Kemp was amazing - his songs got everyone singing and dancing . Really brought 80s nostalgia back . Amazing self service pints too !!
But omg the support act to Martin Kemp was absolutely rubbish - audience booed him ! So so bad . If we had arrived when he was on I think we would have walked out !

The event started at 4pm and weren't even let in until 4.15 and then told the Skiddle tick*ts weren't scanning so felt like cattle herded into a pen while we had to wait. We then went into a tatty freezing warehouse type room which we weren't expecting at the winter gardens. £10 for a glass of prosecco is disgusting! Nowhere to sit so stood up for 6 hours (most guests were 55+) and then Martin Kemp didn't even come on stage until 8.40! Initial DJ was good but the 2nd "Top dj in Feuteventura " was quite frankly a joke. People booing him to get off. Enjoyed the music and the brief appearance of Martin but could have been a lot better

A bit of an unusual venue it had the feeling of being in a warehouse and lacked a bit of soul so took a while for the atmosphere to build. The lighting was also a let down, I think they are restricted because of the building.
The No 1 DJ from Fueteventura was absolutely rubbish and was getting booked, he completely lost the crowd.
Martin Kemp got things going again.

Waste of money.  Absolutely awful dirty venue. Once in they wouldn't let you out so hours and hours stood waiting for him.  No seats.

The sound in the Winter Gardens Blackpool was awful, it was really muffled, you knew what the tracks were but the vocals were indistinguishable. I don't know if it was the acoustics  in the room or the quality of the sound.  You could hardly tell what the warm up act was saying. Everyone was up for a really good time and enjoyed it but the sound quality was awful.

RIO was horrendous he got booed by the crowd
