Groovebox x Submerged at The Nest

When: Wednesday 31st December 2025

Where: The Nest in Nottingham

If disco and house are a bit too tame, The Nest has you covered. Formerly a disused factory and now a full-blown venue with immersive lighting and an industrial feel, it’s tricky to think of anywhere better to spend six hours getting lost in the sounds of drum and bass.

RNB Mania

Where: The Palais in Nottingham

In some ways, old-school R&B is made for New Year’s Eve. It’s got massive choruses, unforgettable lyrics and beats that you can’t help but move to. If that’s your jam, R&B Lovers is for you.

Nottingham’s Secret Vault is a proper gem. Tucked deep underground in the heart of the city, with a low ceiling and exposed brick decor, it’s the type of ‘if you know, you know’ spot that feels reserved for proper music heads.

The Indie Time Machine

Where: Rescue Rooms in Nottingham

If you much prefer the twang of a guitar to beats and bass, across the road from Secret Vault Rave is Rescue Rooms. It’s an iconic venue, and on New Year’s Eve, it transforms into the Indie Time Machine. 

Step inside, sing along to tunes from Arctic Monkeys, Wet Leg, Kate Bush and loads more classic and current indie legends. But the fun doesn’t stop there. You’ve got ‘00s karaoke in the Red Room and The House Party taking place at the bar. Billy Bootleggers are also hosting Billy’s Bottomless Britpoppy Boppy. That’s quite the tongue-twister. But as the name suggests, it promises all the best tunes from the era when Oasis vs Blur was the most important thing in the world. 

Hear all the decade’s anthems T-F-I 90s, a tribute band from Nottingham who’ve made their name on spreading the joy from the era to crowds up and down the country.
