Probably the second biggest event of the year after NYE, Halloween, is finally upon us. Making sure you've got the right event is just as important as that costume, so here's some last minute options for you all.

This Weekend

Whilst loads of corkers have sold out there's still enough choice for the late to the party crew, namely our own A Wing with Carl Craig. Looking for something further north, Nightvision goes 2020 Vision in Edinburgh, with Jika Jika! running a Halloween Freakshow in Derry.

A few miles further south Erol Alkan plays all night at the Shipping Forecast in Liverpool whilst Shine turn three in Leeds. For the London heads there's a rather special Hot Cakes boat party, or if you want to wait till Sunday, you can lap up Nic Fanciulli at Abode.

Coming Up

Beyond the horror horizon there's much to look forward to. Freeze will turn nine in Liverpool with Steve Lawler, Cocoon return to London with Sven Vath and Steve Bug (check out our interview with him), and Roni Size brings Reprazent to KOKO (check out their 'Brown Paper Bag' below) - even further into the distance, Wickerman 2015 tickets go on sale on Friday.

And NYE is nearly here! Defected will take over MOS with a cracker of a show, whilst S2S have put the boot up Victoria Warehouse in Manchester with a monstrous line up. Over in Leeds Canal Mills' New Years Day party is typical high quality.

That's it for me this week, final note is this insight into the record collection of our home town club's football manager Simon Grayson. Up PNE!
