When considering a last minute Fathers Day gift this weekend, we're not quite sure of Gengahr's suitability, although he's probably cooler than you if he is - just saying. They make up this week's key album release alongside Hudson Mohawke if  venturing into the electronic space - we couldn't miss out HudMo could we?

We labelled Gengahr's A Dream Outside "A magical debut album" (read our review) and admittedly it surpassed expectation. It's one we've been anticipating for months, after various singles brought the perceived high points. Though collectively the album merges into one huge peak; Felix's vocal continues to shimmer while its intricate melodies glint - our album of the week nonetheless.

Hudson Mohawke touched down with 'Lantern', a wonderfully crafted album of dance floor inspired beats bred for the discerning club head. Showcasing a wedge of collaborations from the likes of Miguel - who covered Slaves this week - it binds left-field landscapes with common clubbing ground well demonstrated via 'Very First Breath' below.

Wolf Alice practically released their debut with a stream of 'My Love Is Cool', a sidewinder of a record that walks more avenues than we perhaps expected - we'll bring our full take on that next week.

Foals put an end to a week of torment by airing their game changing new single 'What Went Down' on Annie Mac's Wednesday evening slot, and Beck dropped the lead cut from his upcoming album Dreams

We were also treated to some visual stimulation from The Maccabees with a video for 'Something Like Happinees', Ghostpoet with 'Sorry My Love it's you, Not Me' and Mac Demarco's stupidly funny Michael Jackson impersonation (above) in his video for 'Another One' - confirming him as an absolute hero in his own right.
