Semi-fictional supergroup The Moonlandingz head to Manchester's Night and Day Cafe on Thursday 27th August.
The band is made up of Lias and Sail of psych rock institution The Fat White Family and the Eccetronic Research Council.
After collaborating for Johnny Rocket, Narcissist & Music Machine... I'm Your Biggest Fan, a record about an obsessive stalker fan - later played by actor Maxine Peake, the band are hitting the live stage with their full length due out in October.
They've since released The Moonlandingz EP, a synth directed slab of warped electro-pop that promises an awesome live show if the video for Sean Lennon's rework of Sweet Saturn Mine (above) is anything to go by.
It's also important to note that the songs of the Moonlandingz are the result of a collaboration between the North and South of England's Premier Outsider Voodoo music makers and analogue audio taxidermists. Make of that what you will, but it's evident that it makes for sweet music.
Head to the Now Wave group to see their full run of events pencilled in for Manchester.
