In celebration of iconic poet Charles Bukowski, you’ll find some of his quotes printed on the walls of this cosy, intimate bar. Perfect for late-night post-work catch-ups, the outside area is heated and decorated with plants. They even serve food if you end up staying later than anticipated because you lost track of time while gossiping.

Up on the seventh floor of this stunning four-star hotel in central Glasgow, you’ll find a rooftop restaurant and bar with views of striking buildings such as Grand Central Station and Nelson Mandela Place, amongst others. For this reason, and because of the insanely attractive menu, Windows is a great shout for afternoon tea. Or just a few drinks to treat yourself when the sun pops out.

Before we get stuck into this one, we need to point out that the bar itself is sadly closed at the moment. Keep an eye on their website and socials for updates on when it’ll open again.
