A duo of British indie legends top the the bill at Nottingham's Splendour Festival this July, with Supergrass and James amongst the first names unveiled for the all dayer at Wollaton Park.
Formed in the early 1990s, Supergrass were a real success story of Britpop, with their 1995 debut album I Should Coco widely regarded as one of the genre's finest.
Five more records followed before the band decided to call it a day in 2010. Supergrass triumphantly returned in 2019 much to the joy of their legions of fans, and a headline slot at Splendour will be the perfect opportunity for Gaz Coombes and co. to work through their lengthy discography.
Meanwhile, James have been festival mainstays for some years now, with a string of indie classics to keep fans singing from beginning to end with the likes of 'Laid', 'Sit Down', 'She's a Star', 'Getting Away With It' and a whole heap more at their disposal. Their appearance as special guests will no doubt be a memorable one.
Also on the Splendour Festival 2020 line up is legendary pop star Belinda Carlisle, with plenty more names to be added in the coming months.
