2013, it’s nearly over. As we shape up for ending the year in style with hundreds of options for you to consider on New Year’s Eve, we’ve also taken some time to look back at the music which has been a big part of our year here at Skiddle in 2013.

You’ve probably come across one of the scores of Office Listening articles we’ve penned over the last twelve months, with that in mind we created a 75 track playlist (we're adding to it here and there though so that figure may change) which pretty much sums up where our listening habits have been in 2013 – stream it below on Spotify.

Most of the music is made up of new music from this year that we have found ourselves listening to over and over again. Some have been constant fixtures (debuts from Disclosure in Settle and Haim's eponymous Days Are Gone have pretty much never left the office stereo), others fleetingly observed but still masterful in our opinions.

All the big albums of the year, from Kanye West's Yeezus right down to Arctic Monkey's AM (who we watched perform in one of the gigs of the year) are present and correct, as well as some of the bigger records and anthems at festivals across 2013.

On top of that there is the odd track which has cropped up all over the mixes we’ve been listening to (Mike Dunn’s 2011 opus a case in point), as well as music from the bands we've heard both live and in festivals this year.

Fleetwood Mac successfully went back on tour and the Rolling Stones were the story of festival season, whilst favorites from Wu Tang, Prince Fatty and Mackelmore might not have been made in 2013 but they seemed to soundtrack our year.

We've also doffed our cap to the Wickerman Festival where we once again had a big role - hearing Chic and Primal Scream there definitely stands as up there with our moments of 2013. It's been a pretty special year for music and we hope you enjoy listening back to everything made it so memorable for us. And if we've missed anything out, let us know.
