Bass-laced house music has taken the dance music scene by storm, but few artists have got it as spot on as Low Steppa. Forward-thinking and intelligently executed, his productions have set the bar for the genre's heavier avenue.

For our first Skiddle mix of the year, we asked the man himself to put together something special for us and he didn't disappoint. Filled with his own weighty productions and huge tracks from the likes of Majesty and Late Nite Tuff Guy, this hour-long whirlwind is a testament to why Low Steppa is so popular on the dance circuit.

He was catapulted into the limelight when his bootleg of Route 94's 'My Love' was lapped up by DJs and clubbers in 2013, and his rework of Hardrive’s ‘Deep Inside’ was picked up by legendary dance label Strictly Rhythm, reaching No.1 on Traxsource within the first week of release.

He's not slowed down since then, churning out even more instantly recognisable tracks like 'So Real' whilst keeping some energy aside for his many tour dates.

Low Steppa plays at the Apex In:Motion event in Bristol on Friday 29th January with Scuba, Boddika and more.
