Our mix series is well past the 50 mark now, with number 53 arriving this week. This time out, we've asked one of our favourite deep house and deep techno producers of the past few years - Cottam, to guide us through an hour journey of the sounds he's digging at the moment. Stream it below.

Having been a DJ since the tender age of thirteen, Cottam shot to notoriety back in 2009 with a series of self titled 12"s that saw him re-working afro-beat, neo-soul, funk and hip hop into well received deep house burners.

Most recently his appearances on Will Saul's Aus imprint and the inauguration if his own Ruff Draft label have seen him continue to evolve his sound, mixing acid house with deep, atmospheric techno, yielding impressive results.

Now in demand everywhere from Rainbow Disco Club in Tokyo to Fabric in London, Cottam continues to purvey the cutting edge of rough and ready house, full of soul and sophistication, as can be heard in his mix for us.

Cottam joins the SSW4 Weekender on September 26th-28th alongside the likes of Danny Krivit, Horse Meat Disco, Jimpster and Crazy P. Get your SSW4 tickets here.
