The multi-award-winning Carrot Productions, known widely for their orchestral nights, will be staging these huge Pride celebration shows with Danny Beard, winner of the fourth series of RuPaul's Drag Race UK; West End star and soloist, Matt HenryAlison Jiear, star of Jerry Springer: The Opera and a Manchester Pride regular, headlining the events. Plus, they'll be joined by a chorus, orchestra and ensemble of outstanding LGBTQ+ performers and allies.

The orchestral show, which soundtracks 50 years of love, hope, and celebration of all things Pride, Pride Classical, is being brought to both Manchester and Blackpool this Pride Month, on the 2nd and 3rd of June respectively. The performance sees the headliners lead a lineup of incredible singers and musicians in an evening of brand-new orchestral arrangements, presenting the songs and music of Pride as you’ve never heard them before.

Fusing anthemic melodies with irresistible rhythms and evocative lyrics, all through the orchestral medium, this show is a must-see for anyone who is either a fan of Danny Beard Matt Henry, or Alison Jiear, or is a fan of the music on show here, as there are few opportunities to see it performed in such manner.

SQUARE-1200-X-1200

At the heart of the concerts, which open the first weekend of Pride month, is a brand new Pride Anthem, conceived and composed by local community members and performed by the full orchestra to celebrate what Pride means today.

Throughout the show, you will also experience songs by disco stars, divas and drag queens that mark the moments in which you’ve fallen in love, declared your love, and learned your love is possible. Now through new orchestral arrangements, same-sex duets and medleys juxtaposing eulogy and euphoria, this concert celebrates everyone who shares our love and our pride.

The venues for these shows are no mean feat either. With the Manchester date being performed at the iconic Bridgewater Hall, and the Blackpool date being sky-high in the Blackpool Tower Ballroom. Basically, the room will match the vibe and vice-versa.

These are not shows you can miss, so secure your tickets at the bottom of this page so you don't miss out, and you can celebrate the start of pride month in one of the best ways imaginable.
