Pixies are celebrating four decades of redefining alt-rock with a massive world tour in 2026, with the run kicking off in the UK and Ireland next May before heading across Europe through June and July.
Titled 'Pixies 40', the UK & Ireland legs of the tour see the Bostonians play York Barbican before stops at the Alhambra Theatre in Dunfermline, Aviva Studios in Manchester, and a landmark first performance at London’s Royal Albert Hall. Irish dates include a special night at King John’s Castle in Limerick and an Olympia Theatre show in Dublin.

It's a choice of venues that feels carefully considered: a mix of historic icons and inspired new spaces, from the grandeur of the Royal Albert Hall to Manchester’s cutting-edge Aviva Studios and the atmospheric King John’s Castle. Quality over quantity. Spaces that elevate the masterwork on stage.
It’s also fitting that the run begins in the UK, where the band were first championed by the press in the late ’80s, helping to propel Surfer Rosa and Doolittle into alt-rock canon. Four decades later, Pixies remain a touchstone for new generations, continuing to prove why their sound has lasted the distance.
