The late Peter Green's handwritten lyrics for Fleetwood Mac have been announced to go on auction next week. It contains a document with a composition sheet made by the band’s co-founder, and also includes instrumentation notes for Fleetwood Mac’s single ‘Man Of The World’, which was written in 1969.
The document shows the lyrics written in a blue ballpoint pen, followed by corrections written by him in black ink, amending three lines of lyrics in the song, and ticking off the finalised lines of lyrics that he was happy with.

Predicted to sell for thousands, the document will head to Ewbank’s next week, and is expected to fetch between £12,000 and £15,000.
Described as talented and important to the development of rock music from the blues and folk movements, Peter Green was an important part of Fleetwood Mac before his departure. And with the lyrics providing an intimate look into Green’s mental state at the time, this will be a very important sale.
